This area was created on July 7th, 1973. It is addressed to primary, secondary, UTU and university students, and to the general public as well, since its services are free of charge.

The student’s sector offers more than 9,000 items, including the following:
•    Primary and secondary textbooks
•    Periodicals (magazines)
•    A wide collection of reference material (encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlas, etc)
•    A collection of Uruguayan and overseas literature
•    Up to date press archives
